Armed Forces Day 2026
The motion
That the Parliament recognises and celebrates Armed Forces Day 2026, which will be held on 27 June; pays tribute to the dedication and sacrifice of serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families across Scotland and the UK; acknowledges what it regards as the vital contribution made by members of the Armed Forces in protecting national security, supporting communities during emergencies and representing the UK around the world; welcomes the many Armed Forces Day events taking place in communities across Scotland; recognises what it sees as the important role played by military families and the wider Armed Forces community, and encourages people throughout Scotland to show their appreciation for all those who serve, or have served, in His Majesty's Armed Forces.
