Hunting with Dogs
It was moved by the Lord Whitty to resolve that this House considers that the hunting of wild mammals with dogs should be prohibited in accordance with provision similar to Schedule 3 to the Hunting Bill as introduced in the Commons in session 2000–01 [Bill 2] (Ban); which being objected to, the question was put thereupon, and the House divided:
The Not Contents have it
Majority 257
At a glance The Not Contents won by a margin of 257 votes. The Government's position was Not Content, and it lost. This was not a whipped vote, so no party line applied.

Peers attend divisions ad hoc, so there is no did-not-vote list. Tellers are counted in the Content and Not Content totals, unlike in the Commons.
