It was moved by the Lord Privy Seal (Lord Williams of Mostyn) that this House approves Option 4 (80 per cent elected/20 per cent appointed) in the Report from the Joint Committee on House of Lords Reform; which being objected to, the question was put thereupon, and the House divided:
