His Eminence Cardinal Thomas Joseph Winning
The motion
That the Parliament expresses its deepest condolences to family and friends of the late Cardinal Thomas Winning, Archbishop of Glasgow and President of the Bishops’ Conference of Scotland; recognises the strength and integrity of his contribution to debate on issues of public concern, and remembers his devoted leadership of the Roman Catholic community over 30 years and the unique and distinguished contribution which he made to public life in Scotland.
