The motion

That the Parliament notes that 4 to 10 August 2003 is national sexual health week and congratulates the fpa (formerly Family Planning Association) for launching this initiative to help raise awareness of sexual health issues and, in particular, sexually transmitted infections; notes that the fpa is calling for a speedy nationwide roll-out of a screening programme for chlamydia as a cost-effective prevention measure, and strongly urges the Scottish Executive to address this issue in its forthcoming sexual health strategy for Scotland.
