Bevin Boys
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the long overdue recognition by Her Majesty’s Government of the Bevin Boys for their role during the Second World War; appreciates the vital contribution that they made to the war effort in the pits of Fife and elsewhere in the United Kingdom, and expresses profound regret that this recognition comes 62 years after the war ended and that many of the Bevin Boys have not lived to see their sacrifices acknowledged.
