Glasgow Mela and the Scottish Academy of Asian Arts
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the return of one of the biggest events in Glasgow’s cultural calendar, the Glasgow Mela; congratulates the organisers of the Glasgow Mela on its 18th annual celebration; further congratulates the Scottish Academy of Asian Arts for once again providing a great festival full of dancing, music, entertainment and arts; notes that the Mela has become a highlight of the city’s cultural calendar, and believes that there is no better way of celebrating multicultural Glasgow.
