Congratulations to the University of St Andrews Debating Team
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Rachel Whitbread and Chris Hawkins from the University of St Andrews on winning the annual St Andrew’s Day debating championship, hosted jointly by the Scottish Parliament and the Scottish Government and chaired by the Presiding Officer; further congratulates Rachel on also winning Best Speaker of the Day, and notes that St Andrews once again has shown why it is one of the top universities in Britain.
