From Barlanark to Africa, Local Organisations Contribute to Poverty Alleviation
The motion
That the Parliament commends the efforts of the St Jude and St John Ogilvie Justice and Peace Group, which initiated a project to send 310 school backpacks to Africa as part of the Mary’s Meals project; extends its congratulations to all those involved at Sandaig Primary School and Our Lady of Peace Primary School for their excellent accomplishments in helping the project to be realised, and recognises the outstanding example set by the institutions, based in Barlanark, Glasgow, for their contribution in alleviating poverty across the world.
