Congratulations to Aberdeen and Dyce on Britain in Bloom Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the city of Aberdeen on achieving the award of a silver gilt medal certificate in the annual Britain in Bloom awards and, in particular, congratulates gardeners in Dyce whose efforts led to the award of a silver medal certificate in the urban community category; endorses the views of the RHS judge, Mel Henley, that Dyce is a lovely community that celebrates its great heritage and links to the oil industry and whose delightful residential gardens are a credit to the community and demonstrate the pride that people take in the local environment; wishes the community success in what is considered its ambitious plans to develop new conservation areas, and hopes that it continues to improve what is seen as its great community garden.
