Talisman Joint Venture
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Talisman Energy Inc. (Talisman) on the completion of its joint venture transaction with Addax Petroleum UK Limited, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of the China Petrochemical Corporation, and understands that the new joint venture will be known as Talisman Sinopec Energy UK Limited and that it will now fund 49% of Talisman's capital programme, allowing Talisman to increase overall investment in the assets, which it considers will lead to improved operational performance and a stronger UK North Sea business.
