Queensferry’s Loony Dook
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the more than 1,000 participants who took part in the 2013 Loony Dook in Queensferry on New Year’s Day; notes that, with temperatures of around eight degrees, a blue sky and a calm sea, Queensferry witnessed the world-famous spectacle for the 27th time with many entrants in fancy dress, including Vikings, the Royal family and Santa, congratulates the Queensferry RNLI for its support and local organisers who, it considers, made the event yet another success and all participants, many of whom raised funds for charities by taking part in the event.
