Congratulations to North Ayrshire Council’s Housing Services Team
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates North Ayrshire Council’s Housing Services team on winning the top title at the Scottish Awards for Business Excellence on 18 June 2013; considers that the awards recognise commitment to organisational excellence, continuous improvement and quality and are among the most rigorously assessed and prestigious business awards in the UK; further considers that the award means that the team has achieved a level of excellence comparable to the best in Europe, and understands that one of the team’s key achievements has been the reduction of homelessness in the area by 53.4% over the last five years compared with the national average of 24%, due to the service's innovative approach.
