Commending the Communities of North West Edinburgh
The motion
That the Parliament commends the residents of Drylaw, Muirhouse, Davidsons Mains, West Pilton and Silverknowes for their actions in the search for the missing three-year-old boy, Mikaeel Kular; notes that hundreds of people joined the search for Mikaeel over two days organised by Police Scotland covering all areas of the locality and thanks everyone who travelled from a different part of the country to be involved; commends the patience and dignity of residents, particularly when Mikaeel was found; notes the actions of the local community in organising a remembrance service, and considers that the communities have shown a magnificent camaraderie, which should be seen as a beacon of community spirit.
