Susie Allison, Student Social Worker of the Year
The motion
That the Parliament notes that Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Susie Allison has been named Student Social Worker of the Year by the Scottish Association of Social Work; further notes that the award recognises her outstanding work while on placement in Stranraer with Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Social Work Services, which sponsors her studies; understands that, during Ms Allison’s placement, she devised an initiative to reduce bed-blocking, which the award judges described as “outstanding”; congratulates Ms Allison on her award, and wishes her well for her future career.
