40 Years of Highland Stoneware
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Highland Stoneware, which produces and designs hand-painted ceramics, on its 40 years of trading from its bases in Lochinver and Ullapool in the north-west Highlands; recognises the important role it considers the company has played in championing the traditional production of quality pottery; understands that over the years the company has provided secure employment in the north of Scotland; welcomes the inspiration and enthusiasm of the staff who hand-make and hand-paint each piece individually on site; appreciates the company's work in promoting Scottish craftsmanship worldwide through its exports, and wishes Highland Stoneware continued success.
