Electric Taxis Charge up for Edinburgh

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the decision by the City of Edinburgh Council to end a ban on electric taxis; considers that the decision could see a significant reduction in CO2 emissions as well as a saving of £10,000 per year on fuel costs for taxi drivers; believes that the adoption of electric cars could have a positive impact on air quality in the city, and supports efforts to lower Scotland’s carbon emissions and improve public health.
