Partick Housing Association’s 40th Anniversary
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Partick Housing Association (PHA) on its 40th anniversary; notes that PHA owns and manages over 1,700 social rented homes and provides factoring management services to more than 2,000 private occupiers in and around Partick; understands that the association was founded in 1975 by a community tenants’ association and local community group, Partick Society, to tackle substandard housing in the area; notes that, to celebrate, the association is planning a host of events and activities throughout the year, including a community festival, walking tours and a community awards ceremony, and hopes that the tenants, board, staff and community enjoy the 40th anniversary celebrations.
