Scottish Crofting Federation’s New Youth Branch
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the recent formation of a new youth branch of the Scottish Crofting Federation (SCF); notes that the founding of the branch, which is aimed at young people who are or aspire to be crofters, follows the successful gathering of young people that was organised in early 2015 at an SCF meeting in Assynt; understands that four of the branch’s members gave an excellent and informative presentation at a recent meeting of the Cross-party Group on Crofting; encourages young people who are interested in crofting to participate in the branch, and wishes both it and the SCF every success in aiming to speak up for and promote crofting.
