International Organization for Migration
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the work of the International Organization for Migration; supports what it considers the positive message of its campaigns, #MigrantHeroes and I am an Immigrant, which aim to share the stories of how individual migrants have contributed to the UK and, by showcasing the positive impact that they can make around the world, the overall contribution of migrants to society; believes that there is a growing need to develop a positive environment for migrants and encourages steps to include them in communities, politics and the democratic process; calls on all of Scotland's elected representatives to adopt the tone of these campaigns, and encourages migrants in Scotland to share their stories on the website, iamanimmigrant.net.
