Aquascot Celebrates Successful Succession Day
The motion
That the Parliament commends the owners of Aquascot for grasping the nettle of succession planning in 2008 by moving steadily toward a mutual model of business that was inspired by the company's key customer, Waitrose; welcomes the Successful Succession event held by Aquascot in conjunction with Co-operative Development Scotland in Alness on 3 July 2015, which is one of a number of events across the country to celebrate Employee Ownership Day; notes that the event also forms part of Scotland’s Year of Food and Drink; praises Dennis Overton, the vice chair of Scotland’s Food and Drink, who, as chairman of Aquascot, has prepared his company for full mutual status, and wishes the workforce every success for a mutually successful future.
