National Marine Week
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes National Marine Week, which runs from 25 July to 9 August 2015; congratulates St Andrews on holding a range of celebratory events, including the viewing of nesting fulmars, a summer beach clean and rock-pooling; commends the RSPB, the Marine Conservation Society and others for supporting and making a success of National Marine Week in St Andrews; understands that St Andrews and north-east Fife are home to a magnificent range of marine wildlife, and considers that events such as National Marine Week are essential to improving public awareness of Scotland’s wonderful marine wildlife.
