Wick Groats FC Success
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Wick Groats football club on sweeping all before them this season; notes that the team won every competition that it entered, winning six titles, the Caithness County League Division One, the Wick League, Davie Allan shield, Colin MacLeod Memorial cup, Eain MacIntosh cup, as well as what it considers the prestigious Highland Amateur Cup; congratulates everyone involved with Wick Groats in what it sees as a truly momentous season; pays particular tribute to the joint managerial team of Derek Shearer and Kevin Anderson as well as the Caithness player of the year, Graham MacNab, who netted on 39 occasions, and further recognises the unstinting support of the main sponsors, the Nethercliffe Hotel in Wick.
