The Inaugural Deeside Local Food Festival
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the inaugural Deeside Local Food Festival, which is due to be held at Cults Academy on 20 September 2015; understands that the one-day festival, which has been organised by The Mixing Bowl Aberdeen to celebrate the Year of Food and Drink Scotland 2015, aims to inspire and excite the community about locally-sourced food; believes that it will be centred around a farmers' market and that the chef from the restaurant, Eat on the Green, Craig Wilson, will lead a cooking demonstration, and wishes the organisers every success in what it hopes will be the first of many such festivals.
