Welcome to the 2015 Peatland Forum
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the Peatland Forum, which will meet on 27 October 2015 at Ferrycroft in Lairg; notes that this will continue on to the science conference in Thurso, Research in the Flow Country III; believes that capturing greenhouse gasses in large sinks such as the deep peat bogs in north Sutherland and Caithness is essential; congratulates the Environmental Research Institute at North Highland College UHI on what it considers its consistently high standard of education and research regarding Scotland's environment and clean energy needs, and wishes the delegates success.
