Congratulations to Alexander Dennis, Falkirk, on Securing Contract
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Falkirk bus manufacturer, Alexander Dennis Limited, on securing a contract to build 200 single decker electric buses per year for the Chinese battery manufacturing firm, BYD; recognises the value and security that it considers this contract brings to the local area and the 1,000-plus staff based at Camelon, Falkirk understands that this initial contract has a potential worth of £2 billion in the longer term, and looks forward to this innovative low-carbon technology being introduced in Scotland.
