Congratulations to Patryk Topolski

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Patryk Topolski on receiving the 2015 Helen McGregor Award at the Employers in Voluntary Housing annual conference; applauds the volunteer, who, it understands, is the youngest ever recipient of the award, on the contribution that he makes to his local community of Gowkthrapple, where he moved to from Poland in 2007 at the age of 13; understands that, in addition to holding the position of vice chair for the Garrion People's Housing Co-operative, Patryk also volunteers for the local voluntary GOLD group, to which he was elected as chair earlier this year, making him the first Polish volunteer to hold the position; recognises Patryk's role in promoting strong intercultural links among Scottish and Polish people in Gowkthrapple; understands that Helen McGregor was a founding member of Shettleston Housing Association and Employers in Voluntary Housing and that the award is given annually to recognise an individual’s significant contribution to a local community, and wishes Patryk well in his future endeavours.
