The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the youth-media access project, Voice Of My Own (VOMO), which, in July 2015, launched what it considers a groundbreaking and technologically innovative web-based TV station; notes that this project, which has involved over 100 young people, has been funded by the Creative Scotland's initiatives, Cashback for Creativity and Time to Shine; congratulates VOMO on developing this youth-led community TV station; understands that it broadcasts to several thousand viewers and that the output is retransmitted by the local press to create a unique example of public/private sector cooperation; believes that, for more than 10 years, VOMO has helped young Borderers express themselves through the moving image, and wishes it well in its continuing work and its aims to help young people develop their skills, confidence, opportunities, potential and employability.
