Road Safety Week Campaign
The motion
That the Parliament commends Glasgow’s Green Year 2015 on supporting the UK-wide Road Safety Week campaign; understands that the campaign is organised by the road safety charity, Brake, which is committed to making streets safe, pleasant and less polluted; notes that this year’s theme of “drive less, live more” urges people to take public transport, to walk or to cycle in order to reduce air pollution, improve road safety and protect the planet; recognises AIG and Specsavers for their role in supporting Brake’s campaign in Glasgow, and wishes a successful Road Safety Week to what it considers an admirable collaboration for making Glasgow a safer and cleaner city.
