En-Garde, Dunfermline Fencing Secures Investment
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates West Fife Fencing Club on receiving a £25,000 investment in its redevelopment of the former Wellwood Primary School into a fencing hub; understands that the club competed for votes against clubs and societies from across the UK in the One Family Foundation competition; welcomes the support of the 1,842 people who voted to give the money to the club; believes that this investment will not only help what it considers the already successful club to develop more Scottish, UK and Commonwealth champions but will also provide a fantastic community space for use by other groups in Dunfermline, and wishes the redevelopment project all the best.
