The motion

That the Parliament believes that there is a significant incidence of asbestos-related disease in Scotland; understands that this is associated with the country's industrial heritage, including shipbuilding, heavy engineering and construction in Renfrewshire South and across Scotland; notes the view that the Scottish Government should consider establishing a centre of excellence for work-related lung disorders that could be based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, and hopes that such a centre could become a world-leading facility in the treatment of such conditions.
