The Scotch Pie Championship, Wishaw Winners
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Denholm Bakers Ltd on winning the silver award for Best Scotch Pie 2016 and Chapman’s Ltd on winning the bronze award for Best Bridie 2016 at the Scottish Bakers World Scotch Pie Championship; considers that both businesses have a long history of serving the local communities in Motherwell and Wishaw and are well known for their quality produce; understands that the awarding body, Scottish Bakers, was established in 1891 and has supported the interests of the bakery trade in Scotland ever since, and wishes each business well in winning many more awards in recognition of what it considers their excellent fayre.
