Glasgow Groups Receive Communities and Family Fund Support
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Glasgow’s Families 1st Project, Geeza Break, North United Communities Ltd and ClubWorld Sports Limited on being awarded a total of £37,742 from the Communities and Family Fund; understands that the Glasgow’s Families 1st Project provides valuable free home safety information to families in deprived areas, Geeza Break will introduce a pilot project that will offer early intervention support to vulnerable young women in the north east Glasgow who are pregnant from six weeks pre-birth to 11 weeks after the baby is born, North United Communities Ltd provides activity clubs for five to eight-year-olds and ClubWorld Sports Limited is aiming to expand its free physical literacy programme, which is led by qualified coaches, to 500 children, and commends the fund on what it sees as the support that it is offering to help improve the lives of vulnerable people in Glasgow.
