Funding for Queen Margaret Academy
The motion
That the Parliament notes the announcement of Scottish Government funding for the rebuilding of Queen Margaret Academy in South Ayrshire; welcomes that this new investment is part of a £230 million scheme to build 19 new schools across Scotland, benefitting over 6,500 pupils and taking the overall number of schools to 112 that have been delivered by the Scottish Government's Schools for the Future programme; considers that this will create a fantastic working environment to learn in, and also welcomes that this will create construction jobs in South Ayrshire and help boost the local economy.
