Strichen Gala Committee
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Strichen Gala Committee on receiving a £2,000 award from Asda's Carrier Bag Community Grants scheme; understands that the charity, which runs Ritchie Hall in Strichen, aims to provide a social hub for the community and a wide range of activities; recognises that this grant is to help with the refurbishment of the hall and contribute to the cost of installing concertina doors; considers that the charity and the community will benefit hugely from this award, and commends all involved in helping to obtain what it sees as essential funding.
