Scotland’s 5Rights Commissioners Appointed
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Rory McLaren, who is from Dunfermline, on being appointed a member of Scotland’s 5Rights Youth Commission; understands that the commission is a UK-wide initiative that is aimed at enabling children and young people to access the digital world creatively, knowledgably and fearlessly; believes that consultation with young internet users is vital to design a suitable framework for a digital community; welcomes the cooperation of Young Scot, 5Rights and Baroness Kidron in championing this; looks forward to the commission’s Scottish launch on 23 February 2016 in Edinburgh, and believes that Rory will make a valuable contribution to this ongoing debate.
