Selkirk High School's RHS Silver Gilt Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the students of Selkirk High School who have been awarded a Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Silver Gilt award for the interpretation of a teenage garden; believes that Selkirk High School was one of only four schools in Scotland selected to take part in the RHS’s Pop Up Garden Challenge; notes that the students from S3 were responsible for the design and growing of their garden, which included an area for teenagers to sit outdoors and a range of plants and vegetables that promote wellbeing, as well as the inclusion of Selkirk’s red and blue colours and horseshoes to illustrate the Common Riding; congratulates all those involved on this fantastic achievement, and praises the school for providing students with the opportunity to develop transferable life skills by participating in this programme.
