Congratulations to Ross Ford on his 100th Scotland Cap

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Scotland hooker, Ross Ford, from Kelso in the Scottish Borders, on being awarded his 100th cap for Scotland in the rugby international test match against Australia on 12 November 2016; notes that he is Scotland's most capped forward of all time, overtaking the previous record of Scott Murray, and that only three other Scottish players have ever achieved this impressive milestone before Ross; considers that his unquestionable commitment and professionalism are reflected in his performances for Scotland, the longevity of his international career and his selection for the British and Irish Lions; believes that Ross is a great ambassador and role model for the Borders and for Scotland, and wishes him every success in his ongoing international and domestic careers.
