Sixth Green Flag Awarded to Rhu Primary School
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Rhu Primary School on being awarded its sixth Green Flag by Eco-Schools Scotland; understands that the school has taken impressive steps to become more environmentally friendly, which include litter cleans at the local woods, park and beach, a "War on Plastic" initiative to encourage a reduction of single-use plastic both at school and home, and its plan to have a "Switch-Off Fortnight"; commends the school for its efforts to promote awareness of eco-friendly measures, as well as increase the confidence and self-esteem among pupils, and wishes the school well in its endeavours to achieve its next Green Flag.
