Dundee Citizen of the Year 2019
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Norma McGovern, a retired nurse, on being named Dundee Citizen of the Year; understands that Norma has worked as an active volunteer and board member for a number of organisations, including Brae Riding for the Disabled and HMS Unicorn; acknowledges that her charity work has helped thousands both at home and abroad, where she has helped find a home for 40 children near the Indian city of Pune in her role as a trustee on the board of Seema's Project, and thanks Norma for her selfless service to the community and various voluntary organisations.
