The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the news that two Dunfermline High School S3 pupils have secured £3,000 for Choices Dunfermline; congratulates Leah Burgess and Malala Bibi on winning the 2019 Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) Grand Final at their school; notes that they were judged by the local Rotary Club and the Carnegie Trust and successfully won the money for the Dunfermline charity, which supports people facing an unplanned pregnancy or who may be seeking support following a miscarriage or termination; believes that every S3 pupil at Dunfermline High School took part in the initiative in December 2018, which was arranged by the YPI Scotland; notes that the initiative encourages pupils to identify the needs of their local community, to spend time with the charity that they believe best addresses those issues and to present a compelling case for why they should receive a donation, and commends the YPI and all the students on their outstanding and magnanimous work.
