Scotland Retains Calcutta Cup
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Scotland rugby team on retaining the Calcutta Cup after an extraordinary performance against England in the final match of the Six Nations Championship; recognises that this achievement was the result of an incredible fightback with Scotland scoring five tries in the second half of the match; notes that the game resulted in the most-ever points in a drawn match in the history of the championship; recognises the hard work that has been put in from the entire team at Scottish Rugby throughout the championship, and wishes the team the very best as it begins preparations for the World Cup in Japan in September 2019.
