Stirling and Clackmannanshire Alzheimer Scotland Raises Over £20,000
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Stirling and Clackmannanshire branch of Alzheimer Scotland on raising more than £20,000 towards the opening of a dementia resource centre; understands that fundraising for the proposed centre began at the start of 2019 with a series of events, including a successful ceilidh and afternoon tea, along with generous donations and school fundraising initiatives; notes that the centre will serve everyone in the Stirling and Clackmannanshire area who has dementia; understands that future events such as a Star Wars tattoo event and a netball tournament are already planned, and wishes everyone involved in the project the best of luck in making the new centre a reality.
