Riverside Museum Shortlisted for Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the management and staff of Glasgow's much-loved Riverside Museum on it being shortlisted for the 2019 Family Friendly Museum Award; notes that this title is presented to museums, galleries and heritage attractions that go an extra mile to provide an excellent experience for families; understands that it is the only such award to be judged by families themselves; acknowledges that the £74 million museum, which opened in June 2011, is in the running alongside the Museum of Liverpool and the World Museum, which is also in that city; notes that, over the summer, "undercover" family judges will visit the nominees; acknowledges that the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in London in October, and wishes all at the Riverside the very best of luck with this.
