Ochils Mountain Rescue Team
The motion
That the Parliament commends the Ochils Mountain Rescue Team on recently carrying a rapid and successful response to an emergency call-out in Alva Glen; congratulates the volunteer team on a professional job in difficult circumstances and thanks the Scottish Ambulance Service and Maritime and Coastguard Agency Helicopter Rescue151 from Inverness for their role in the incident; understands that the 24 mountain rescue teams across Scotland are staffed by 850 volunteers and thanks them for their dedication and commitment, at all hours and in any weather; notes that, in 2018, the teams responded to 683 call-outs, rescuing 851 people; acknowledges that they are a crucial part of the country's mountain rescue response, enabling people to enjoy the outdoors safely, and wishes Ochils Mountain Rescue, and the other teams, continued success.
