Appointment of Autism and Asperger's Syndrome Co-ordinators
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the on-going problems faced by adults diagnosed with autism and Asperger’s syndrome; notes the initiative taken by Lothian Health Board to create an adults with autism co-ordinator, and acknowledges the requirement for similar initiatives to be set up nationally to ensure that this section of society can access services and resources and receive support from experienced and qualified professionals.
