Guantanamo Bay
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the call by UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, for the US facility at Guantanamo Bay to be shut as soon as is possible; notes that as many as 500 individuals have been held without trial for up to four years; considers this to be entirely unacceptable, and calls on the US Government to put these men on trial or release them without further delay.
