University of St Andrews Fundraising Campaign
The motion
That the Parliament supports the multi-million pound fundraising campaign by the University of St Andrews, launched by its new principal, Dr Louise Richardson, to mark the university's 600th anniversary; applauds the university's aim to create bursaries to attract talented students from poor backgrounds; notes its efforts in trying to raise funds rather than rely on government handouts, and urges graduates of the university and all those who support it to back the campaign.
