Queensferry Rowing Club
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Queensferry Rowing Club on the launch of its second skiff, the Ferry Maid, on 24 November 2012; notes that the club, which is affiliated to the Scottish Coastal Rowing Association, was formed in April 2011 prior to the launch of its first skiff, Ferry Lass, and has since gone from strength to strength and now has over 60 active members; understands that the club organises and takes part in a wide range of activities and regattas across Scotland and hosted its own regatta in June 2012; congratulates what it considers the skilled and talented members who built the Ferry Maid; commends Scottish Coastal Rowing for encouraging communities to become involved in the building of new rowing boats, competing and promoting sport and fitness for people of all ages, and wishes the club every success at the 2013 St Ayles Skiff Coastal Rowing Championships in Ullapool.
