Coalfields Community Challenge
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Jonny Russel of the Fraser Centre in Tranent, David Bradbury of Let's Get Sporty in Kirkconnel and Gette Fulton of Afton Water Leisure in New Cumnock on being named as the successful finalists in the Coalfields Community Challenge; understands that the Coalfields Community Challenge programme is a six-month development programme aimed at new and emerging social enterprises creating employment in former coalmining communities; notes that those selected for the programme receive business development support, mentoring and training, with an opportunity to win a financial award at the end of the programme; welcomes the support that the Coalfields Community Challenge provides for new social enterprises, and wishes the finalists every success for the future.
